Suva soccer team’s top midfielder, Nickel Chand has informed Suva officials of his intention of joining the Babasiga Lions.
Suva’s newly elected President, Ritesh Pratap says Chand has told them that he has received a good offer from Labasa, however they are yet to receive a formal application.
Nickel has great capabilities as a forward and was a key member of the Fiji soccer team at the 2015 FIFA Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.
However, the Olympian has not been at his best form recently because of a niggling knee injury.
Meanwhile, Suva has also lost Jale Dreloa to Labasa in the player transfer window.
The Capital City side which lost to Ba 2-1 in the opening round of the Vodafone Premier League last week has signed Bruce Hughes from Rewa.
Bruce will now play with his elder brother Setareki Hughes for Suva.
Meanwhile all league matches for this weekend have been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
