South Sydney skipper Sam Burgess has revealed just how quick Alex Johnston is.
There’s no denying the 22‑year‑old is a speed machine and the numbers prove it.
While the flyer scored five tries in the Rabbitohs’ stunning 42‑14 win over Penrith on the weekend, it was his numbers on the GPS which caught the attention of the club staff.
Burgess says throughout the pre‑season they all sprint and see who can get the highest score, metres per second and Alex is the quickest by a long way.
The Rabbitohs are hoping Johnston’s speed will be a lethal weapon for them ahead of this weekend’s clash.
Round 18 of the NRL will kick off on Friday when the Roosters meet the Rabbitohs at 9.50pm.
