Fiji-born Brumbies prop Lington Ieli has indicated his interest in representing the Fiji Water Flying Fijians in the future if given a chance.
The 20-year-old made his Shop N Save Super Rugby debut for the Brumbies against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua over the weekend and came off the bench in the 51st minute.
Ieli is originally from Rotuma and moved to Australia at a very young age, before he was scouted by the Brumbies Academy, and later went on to represent the Australian U20s last year.
The prop forward says if possible, he would play for the Flying Fijians in the future, but for now the focus is on performing for the Brumbies this season.
Meanwhile, the Brumbies will host the Brumbies at 8.35pm this Saturday in round 2 of the Super Rugby Pacific.
In other matches this week, the Chiefs will host the Crusaders at 6.05pm Friday, the Reds will play Moana Pasifika at 8.35pm Friday, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take on the Hurricanes at 3.35pm Saturday, and the Highlanders will take on the Blues at 6.05pm Saturday.
