Marty Banks has made a timely return from injury to add experience to the Highlanders' squad for their Super Rugby semifinal with the Lions in Johannesburg.
It was not all good news on the injury front for the Highlanders though with Tongan prop Sio-sui-a Hala-nuko-nuka ruled out of the playoffs with damaged ankle ligaments.
Halanukonuka suffered the injury when jumping to catch a high ball during the Highlanders' gritty 15‑9 quarterfinal victory over the Brumbies.
Lions will host the Highlanders at 2.30am Sunday while the Chiefs will meet the Hurricanes at 7.35pm Saturday.
