“Be rest assured that the Ba soccer team will come back strongly."
This is the assurance from Ba Soccer President Rishi Kumar after Ba soccer fans raised concern on the team’s recent performance.
Kumar admits that Ba’s performance has dropped but there are some issues which are beyond their control.
Ba failed to qualify for the semi-finals of this year’s Vodafone Fiji FACT and sits third last in the Vodafone Premier League points table after playing five matches.
Ba has played 10 games this year and have won three, three matches have ended in a draw while they have lost four.
The Men in Black have also decided not to renew the contract of coach Imdad Ali and former players, Roneel Kumar and Epeli Codro are now guiding the side.
They have players like 17-year-old Kishan Sami, 19-year-old Amena Bola and players who are in their early 20s include Sitiveni Cavuilagi, Saula Waqa, Samuela Nabenia, Pranil Naidu, Suliano Tawanakoro, Shaneel Naidu, Jonetani Newa, Junior Narendra Rao and Manasa Nawakula.
The Ba President says fans should have faith in these players and results will come soon.
Kumar has confirmed that he will continue leading Ba and will not step down.
Ba has won 39 titles under Kumar’s guidance in the last 14 years.
