Army Women's claim Touch Rugby title beating Police 9-5

The Army Women's touch rugby side has defeated Police 9-5 to claim the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Touch Rugby title.

Army Captain, Naomi Naituivau says they knew they would win this match this year despite losing to Police last year.

She says that written on her strapping is "Lave na Rara", confirming that they would conquer today’s match.

Naituivau shares that Vodafone Fijiana XVs player Inise Raoma had an outstanding performance.

She adds that a few of the team members will be participating in netball and volleyball tomorrow.

Naituivau says today's victory is dedicated to their individual families and sponsors, especially the Army family.

Meanwhile, the Army men’s team is leading Police 8-7.

Looking at other competitions today, boxing continues at the Police Academy in Nasova at 2pm, and the Oldies Rugby match will be held at 2pm at the Nasova Grounds.

The netball and volleyball competitions will be at 9am tomorrow at the National Netball Centre, while the rugby league match will be held at 1pm at Bidesi Grounds.

Soccer will be held at 11am on Thursday at Subrail Park, with the women’s rugby starting at 11am on Friday and the main men’s rugby challenge at 3pm.
