The rugby rule that the Italian 15's team exploited last Sunday against England has alerted 7s coaches in the World Sevens Series coaches to use it to their advantage.
With Las Vegas 7s looming this weekend, Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber says this tactic has been used well in sevens rugby for some time.
Last Sunday, the Italy fifteens team exploited this move where the referee said that it is perfectly legal.
But in every breakdown, no Italian player joined the tackler.
Instead, they crossed the advantage line and moved into the England backfield, hoping to confuse the halfback and steal the ball.
Under rugby laws, when no ruck is formed, there is no offside line, so the move is legal.
Meanwhile the national side will have a scrimmage session with Kenya today while the final 12 will be named on Friday.
Fiji will take on Japan at 12.09pm this Saturday in the first pool match of the Las Vegas 7s.
We will take on Scotland at 3.08pm Saturday while Fiji plays its final pool match against Australia at 9.50am Sunday.
The Medal quarter finals start at 4.16pm Sunday, the semis will be held at 9.44am next Monday while the final will kick off at 1pm next Monday.
