Four players with links to Fiji have been included in a 33-man Wallabies squad for this month’s Rugby Championship matches against South Africa and Argentina.
Fiji-born wings, Henry Speight and Sefanaia Naivalu as well as Tevita Kuridrani and Samu Kerevi are in the squad.
Speight returns after playing a part in Australia’s rugby 7s Rio Olympics campaign while Sefanaia Naivalu is one of the four uncapped players in the squad.
Naivalu will train with the team ahead of becoming eligible on September 18th to play for the Wallabies.
The other uncapped players are centre Kyle Godwin, lock Lopeti Timani and prop Tom Robertson.
Coach Michael Cheika continues to rebuild his Wallabies squad in the face of six consecutive test defeats.
Another defeat could lead to the sacking of the Wallabies coach as in the last run of seven losses in 2005 led to the sacking of then‑coach Eddie Jones.
The Wallabies will face the Springboks at 10.05pm this Saturday.
