2,500 athletes from all three divisions are expected at this year’s FMF Chow Games.
Games Secretary Patrick Bower says the Divisional Championships has boosted the participation level, especially at the grass root level.
Bower says the National Championship was held last year but this year it has gone back to the Divisional Championships which runs for three years before a National Championship is held.
He confirms that the Western Division FMF Chow Championship will be held at Lawaqa Park on the 11th and 12th of next month with Navosa, Nadi, Nadroga, Lautoka, Ba/Tavua and Ra will be competing.
Bower says the Northern Division Championship will be held at Subrail Park on the 15th and 16th of next month where Macuata North, Labasa 1, Labasa 2, Seaqaqa, Dreketi, Bua 1, Bua 2, Bua 3, Cakau East, Wailevu, Buca Bay and Taveuni will contest.
Bower says the Central Division FMF Chow Games will be held at the ANZ Stadium on the 18th and 19th of next month with Suva 1, Suva 2, Tailevu South, Tailevu North, Serua, Nasinu and Lami.
