16-year-old Maikah Dau credits support ahead of Bula FC's second match

16-year-old Extra Bula FC midfielder, Maikah Dau says the support from his teammates, family and fans remains strong as the team prepares for its second professional match this afternoon against South Island United at 2pm.

He adds that his father was in Auckland to support him during their first professional match, which gave him extra confidence.

He also found their opening match against Vanuatu a good experience, stressing that support from home has been very encouraging, with his mother and relatives from Savusavu sending their best wishes.

Dau shares that he was a little nervous during his first professional appearance against Vanuatu United FC, but became more comfortable once the match settled into rhythm.

He adds that team captain Roy Krishna also played a supportive role, reminding him not to be nervous and to enjoy the game as it unfolds.

Meanwhile, Bula FC will take on South Island United at 2pm at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.
