Fiji-born Toulon winger Jiuta Wainiqolo continues to stamp his mark in the French Top 14 competition after another solid performance against Castres yesterday to help them book a semi final spot this weekend.
The 26-year-old scored a try and set up another in their team’s 52-23 win yesterday, and he ran a game-high 136 metres in 9 carries, beating 7 defenders.
Wainiqolo also made 4 linebreaks in attack.
His current form has seen him earn his place again in the Fiji Water Flying Fijians' final 32-member squad for the upcoming July tests against the Wallabies and Scotland.
Wainiqolo and his Toulon side will play Bordeaux in the second semi final at 7.05am this Sunday.
This is Wainiqolo’s final year in Toulon colours before moving to Lyon next season.
Meanwhile, Sireli Maqala’s Bayonne will play Toulouse at 7.05am in the first semi final of the Top 14 competition.
