The Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s team have set an ultimate target to win this year’s HSBC 7s World Series title.

Coach Ben Gollings says there is still a lot to play for in the remaining six tournaments and their focus is to keep qualifying for the semi finals and finals in order to achieve their goal.

Gollings says consistency is something they need to maintain in order to also secure automatic qualification to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

He says a lot can change in six tournaments and it is important that they hit the target they’ve set.

Meanwhile, Fiji is currently sitting in 5th place after the Sydney 7s with 67 points.

New Zealand currently leads the overall men’s standings with 85 points, South Africa is second with 76 points followed by Samoa and France sitting at 3rd and 4th positions respectively with 68 points each.

The next leg of the 2022/2023 HSBC 7s Series will be held in Los Angeles on the 25th and 26th of this month.
