Fiji-born Waikato Wing Sevu Reece displayed a brilliant performance for Waikato as they defeated Auckland 27-35 in the Mitre 10 Cup at Eden Park last night.
Waikato led 18-17 at halftime.
Auckland prop Marcel Renata received a yellow card in the 54th minute which eventually saw Waikato capitalise with the match‑winning try from Reece who came on as a substitute for former Fiji 7s winger Iliesa Ratuva scoring a try 60 meters out from the try line.
Meanwhile Taranaki will face Counties Manukau at 7.35pm this Saturday.
