The Samoa 7s team will be aiming to improve their position on the World Rugby 7s Series at the Hong Kong 7s tournament so that they can qualify for the 2020 Olympics Game.

Samoa 7s Coach Sir Gordon Tietjens says that the first 4 teams in the series will automatically qualify so their target is to be one of those teams.

Tietjens says that trust will be the boys main weapon this week where they will need to trust themselves and their teammates during game time.

He adds that their good performance in the Las Vegas 7s where they reached the finals were a moral booster for the boys.

Samoa is pooled with Scotland, Japan and South Africa.

The Hong Kong 7s tournament will begin at 9.42 tonight with Samoa taking on Scotland.

Meanwhile, Fiji will take on Kenya at 11.37 tonight in their first pool match of the Hong Kong 7s, they will then take on Australia at 5.13pm tomorrow and play their final pool match against New Zealand at 8.55pm tomorrow.

The Cup quarterfinals will start at 2.58pm Sunday, Cup semifinals start at 7.41pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 11pm Sunday.
