The International Boxing Organisation Super Middleweight champion Renold Vatubua Quinlan could have a fight in Fiji as early as next year.

This has been confirmed by his new sponsor, Blue Gas.

The boxer’s mother is from Viwa, Bau, in Tailevu.

His maternal grandfather Sailosi Vatubua, represented Fiji in amateur boxing and won the gold medal at the 1966 South Pacific Games in Nouméa.

Quinlan is ranked 11th in the middleweight division in the world.

Blue Gas Executive Chairman Ajai Punja says they have decided to give the orthodox fighter an undisclosed sponsorship because he will also be representing Fiji in his international fights.

Punja says Quinlan could have a fight scheduled in Fiji next year.

Quinlan has a professional record of twelve fights with eleven wins and has recorded seven knockouts.
