Barnes worried about concussions

Barnes worried about concussions
Waratahs five eighth Berrick Barnes has serious concerns about the number of head knocks he has taken and fears that another could end his season.

Barnes has been ruled out of Saturday’s match against Western Force after suffering his second concussion in just three Super 15 Rugby games this year.

Barnes realizes head injuries require the utmost caution and, after consultations with a specialist in the next two days, he will discuss with Waratahs officials how to avoid further damage.

While the rest of his teammates completed a marathon two hour training session yesterday, Barnes did some light running before observing from the sidelines.

Waratahs take on Western Force at 12.05am this Sunday.

Meanwhile, Highlanders play Cheetahs at 7.35pm this Friday.
