Serevi: discipline and patience will decide Deans U18 final

Whichever team maintains discipline and patience is likely to lift the Vodafone Super Deans Trophy tomorrow when Lelean Memorial School faces Suva Grammar School in the Under-18 final.

Former Fiji 7s maestro and former Lelean student Waisale Serevi highlighted this to fijivillage Sports today.

Serevi says both Under-18 teams are hungry for victory and believes this will be one of the toughest Deans finals of the 2026 competition.

He says both teams have prepared well for the final, which is the last game of the season, and will be determined to finish the year on a high.

The 7s legend says Grammar will be highly motivated to win the trophy, particularly because it has been some time since they last lifted it.

On the other hand, Serevi says Lelean will see the final as an opportunity to complete an unbeaten season, adding that discipline and patience could ultimately determine the winner.

Lelean will face Grammar at 6.10pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
