Fijians will need to spend more from tomorrow as fuel and gas prices increase across the country.
For any area on Viti Levu located within three kilometres of any public road, the price of diesel will increase by 21 cents, from $3.20 to $3.41 per litre.
The price of kerosene will increase from $2.57 to $2.67 per litre.
Premix will increase from $2.96 to $3.01 per litre, while unleaded fuel will increase from $3.10 to $3.15 per litre.
The price of a 4.5kg gas cylinder will increase from $14.99 to $15.81, while a 12kg gas cylinder will increase from $39.96 to $42.16.
Bulk gas will increase from $3.08 to $3.25 per kilogram, while autogas will increase from $2.12 to $2.24 per litre.
Prices in other areas outside Viti Levu will vary.
The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says the revised prices will take effect from tomorrow following its latest review of international refined fuel prices, the Butane Contract Price, freight rates and exchange rate movements linked to August imports.
It says ongoing geopolitical tensions, supply disruptions and volatility in international petroleum markets continue to place upward pressure on international fuel and LPG costs.
It says global energy markets have remained highly volatile due to geopolitical developments in the Gulf region and the Russia-Ukraine war.
The Commission says the October prices are based on fuel and LPG imported in August 2026.
