Defending champions, Argentina booked their place in the FIFA World Cup semi finals after defeating Switzerland 3-1 following extra time in their quarter-final clash.
The two teams were locked at 1-all at the end of regulation time before Argentina scored twice in extra time to secure the victory.
Argentina had taken an early lead through Alexis Mac Allister before Switzerland fought back with an equaliser from Dan Ndoye in the second half, forcing the match into extra time.
Mac Allister, Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez scored for Argentina while Dan Ndoye scored for Switzerland.
Switzerland also suffered when Breel Embolo was shown a red card in the secod half.
In the semi finals, France will play Spain at 7am on Wednesday, while Argentina will face England at 7am on Thursday.
