One man surrenders as Police hunt for others after Nadi taxi robbery
One of the men allegedly involved in the attack and robbery of a taxi driver in Nadi this morning has surrendered to Police, while the hunt continues for the remaining suspects.
Police have confirmed this to fijivillage News after we had alerted them with the video footage from inside the taxi.
Police say the suspect is currently being questioned at the Lautoka Police Station.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Kasiano Vusonilawe says the Western Division Taskforce continues to hunt for the others involved in the attack.
ACP Vusonilawe says all operational efforts are being directed to rounding up those involved in robberies and burglaries, and to ensure offenders are brought to justice for the cowardly attacks on innocent people who have earned an honest living through their hard work and personal sacrifices.

The incident, which occurred in Nadi earlier today, involved three men who attacked and robbed a taxi driver before fleeing the scene.

The surrender of one suspect is expected to assist investigators as they work to establish the circumstances surrounding the robbery and identify and locate the other men involved.
