Brazil secured its first win of the FIFA World Cup 2026 with a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti in their Group C clash at Philadelphia Stadium.

A first-half brace from Matheus Cunha and a stoppage-time strike from Vinícius Júnior were enough to hand the five-time world champions all three points.

Cunha opened the scoring in the 23rd minute before doubling Brazil's lead in the 36th minute from a Vinícius Júnior assist.

Vinícius then got on the scoresheet himself in first-half injury time, finishing off a move created by Lucas Paquetá to put Brazil firmly in control heading into the break.

Brazil dominated possession and controlled the match throughout the second half, preventing Haiti from finding a way back.

The team confirmed that Neymar did not travel with the squad to Philadelphia for the Group C match as he continues to recover from a calf injury.

The victory moves Brazil onto four points in Group C after opening its campaign with a 1-1 draw against Morocco.

Haiti remains without a point after suffering its second straight defeat of the tournament, having lost 1-0 to Scotland in its opening match.

Brazil will face Scotland in its final Group C match at 10am next Thursday, while Haiti will take on Morocco at the same time as both teams look to conclude their group-stage campaigns.

Meanwhile, earlier today Morocco defeated Scotland 1-0 while the USA beat Australia 2-0.

Turkey will face Paraguay at 3pm.
