The temporary overnight closure of Wainibau Bridge along Baulevu Road will be extended to allow essential bridge upgrade works to continue.
The Fiji Roads Authority says the bridge will be closed from 8pm this Saturday until 9am Sunday.
The same closure hours will apply next Saturday, 17th October, and the following Saturday, 24th October, with the bridge reopening at 9am the following morning on each occasion.
FRA says the works will be carried out, weather permitting.
It says emergency vehicles will continue to have access during the closures.
The Authority says temporary traffic diversions will be clearly marked, with traffic controllers on site to guide drivers and pedestrians along the designated bypass route.
Drivers travelling through the area are advised to take the closures into account when planning their journeys.
FRA says advance warning signs will be placed before the bridge closures begin.
Members of the public seeking further information can contact FRA on the toll-free number 5720 between 8am and 5pm on weekdays.
