Former Fijian Holdings Limited Chief Executive Officer Nouzab Fareed will be sentenced on 27th August for indecently assaulting a woman in his office as his lawyers seek a suspended sentence.
Fareed's lawyer Hemendra Nagin says they are also seeking a non-conviction for his client.
Fareed appeared before Magistrate Josaia Waqaivolavola this morning.
State Prosecutor Sadaf Shameem told the Court that they are seeking a conviction and a custodial sentence.
The tariff for this is 12 months to 4 years.
Fareed was found guilty on two counts of indecent assault.
The offences were committed on 25th June and 13th September 2019.
