The man accused of murdering an elderly man in Matintar, Nadi, last month has been remanded in custody by the High Court.
Vereti Tavisoro appeared in the Lautoka High Court earlier this week, charged with one count of murder and one count of burglary.
It is alleged that Tavisoro murdered a 77-year-old man in Matintar, Nadi, during the course of a burglary last month.
The accused chose to represent himself in the matter. However, the High Court advised him to reconsider and seek assistance from the Legal Aid Commission.
The matter has been adjourned to 31st August for information and disclosures.
