Fiji Muslim League launches 100th anniversary celebrations
The Fiji Muslim League has officially launched its 100th anniversary celebrations this evening at Suva Muslim College.

During the launch, National President Basheer Ahmed highlighted that the centennial is not just a celebration but a reflection of a remarkable journey of faith and service in Fiji.

Ahmed says the organisation was established in 1926 with a vision of unity, education, compassion, and leadership.

He says the pioneers' vision was simple yet profound.

The National President says that from humble beginnings, the Fiji Muslim League now has 25 educational institutions that educate thousands of students from various ethnic backgrounds.

He says compassion and generosity should never be forgotten.

Ahmed says that service knows no religion, race, or politics, it is a responsibility.

He further says they must reflect on their history and commit to the future.

High Commissioner of Malaysia Nor'Azam Mohd Idrus says that 100 years is a remarkable milestone.

He says the League has provided opportunities for people throughout Fiji.

He adds that its service has touched many lives and united people.

The centennial pin was also presented to the High Commissioner of Malaysia as a symbol of the League's legacy, which must be protected and carried forward.

Meanwhile, the centennial celebrations will be held from the 22nd to the 30th of August at Nadi Muslim College.
