The Bula Boys take on New Caledonia in a crucial match tonight, with their chances of securing a place in the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup final hanging in the balance.
Fiji are currently on four points following their important 2-0 victory over Papua New Guinea, where captain Roy Krishna and Sterling Vasconcellos scored a goal each.
The Fiji Football Association says with the Papua New Guinea-Solomon Islands match currently underway, Fiji will be keeping a close eye on the result.
If the Solomon Islands beat PNG, the Bula Boys will need to defeat New Caledonia by at least three goals to give themselves a strong chance of finishing in the top two on goal difference.
The Bula Boys will take on New Caledonia at 7pm at the HFC Bank Stadium.
The top two teams will qualify for Saturday’s final.
