The review covered the Vodafone Vanua and Royal Tea Ranadi provincial competitions, including Northern Bulls, Ovalau, Namosi, Serua and Nasinu, as well as the Vodafone Deans, Weet-Bix Raluve and Vodafone Juniors competitions.
FRU says the session brought together key stakeholders to assess the 2026 season, identify key strengths and challenges, capture lessons learned, and set priorities for improving the delivery of competitions in 2027.
They say the session also examined financial acquittals from the Schools Rugby, Vanua and Ranadi treasurers, reinforcing Fiji Rakavi’s commitment to sound financial management, transparency and accountability across the game.
The review process provides an important opportunity to assess how competitions were delivered, identify operational and administrative gaps, capture stakeholder feedback, and apply lessons from the 2026 season to strengthen planning and delivery for 2027.
The next review will be held in the Northern Division next week, followed by the Western Division the following week.
FRU says the Skipper Cup and Marama Championship will be reviewed separately at the conclusion of their respective competitions.
They say as Fiji Rakavi looks towards 2027, the focus remains on strengthening governance, improving competition delivery, and building a sustainable rugby pathway from grassroots and schools through to provincial and national representation.
