Two children who were allegedly victims of abuse and neglect have been removed from their house at Sukanaivalu Road in Lautoka and placed in the care of a relative.
Police say they and Social Welfare officers in Lautoka attended to a report last night where it was alleged that two children were victims of abuse and neglect.
They say despite the efforts of officials, the children’s mother did not want to leave with the children.
Police are reminding everyone that under the Child Care and Protection Act 2024, failure to report suspected child abuse is an offence.
