Team Fiji wins four gold medals on final day of Oceania Athletics Championship

Team Fiji collected five medals during the final day of competition at the Oceania Athletics Championship in Darwin, Australia, including four gold medals.

Paula Vonolagi won two gold medals in the U20 200 metres and was also part of the U20 mixed 4x400 metres relay team that claimed gold. Samantha Lutu secured her second gold medal in the U20 women’s triple jump, while Elijah Vakacegu set a new Oceania record in the U16 boys 400 metres with a time of 51.56 seconds.

The U20 mixed 4x400 metres relay team of Vonolagi, Sera Nasilivata, Veremo Vasuitoga and Adi Ceva Lutumailagi won gold in a time of 3 minutes and 41.66 seconds.
