The semi-finalists for the Extra Supermarket Battle of the Giants have been confirmed following an exciting weekend of football at 4R Stadium in Govind Park, Ba.
Hosts Dayal’s Steel Ba, Global Care Suva, Nasinu and Stratum/PPCL Rewa have secured their places in the semi-finals.
Suva will face Ba at 2pm next Saturday, while Nasinu will take on Rewa at 4.30pm.
The grand final will be played on Sunday at 3pm.
Ba booked its place in the first semi-final after thrashing Lautoka 3-0 this evening and finishing second in Group B.
In the second semi-final, Nasinu will meet Rewa after finishing second in Group A, while Rewa topped Group B.
Defending champions Extra Supermarket Labasa missed out on the semi-finals after they could only beat Blue Gas Navua 2-1, falling short of the four-goal margin they needed to qualify.
In today’s matches, Nasinu beat Suva 2-1, Nadi edged Rewa 1-0, Labasa defeated Navua 2-1, and Ba beat Lautoka 3-0.
The stage is now set for two exciting semi-finals next Saturday, with a new BOG champion to be crowned this year.
