State seeks time for consolidation of Zoe Moore and Ledua Gudru case
The State is seeking more time to consolidate the files of Zoe Maharaj Moore and Ledua Gudru who are both charged in relation to possession of a grenade and methamphetamine.

They both face one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, one count of possession of property believed to be proceeds of crime, one count of possession of break-in implements, and one count of unlawful possession of explosives.

Moore and Gudru were allegedly found with a grenade and 0.111 grams of methamphetamine on February 13th in Delainavesi, Lami.

The defence counsel, Isimeli Keteca who appeared for both the accused raised in the Magistrates Court this morning if the ODPP is going to consolidate their cases.

They appeared before Magistrate Joseph Daurewa this morning who says that Zoe Moore's trial date has already been set for 6th October and the State needs to make up its mind now as it is just 4 months away.

Keteca also raised the issue that Zoe Maharaj Moore needed a medical check up and examination at the CWM Hospital.

The Court then ordered for her to be taken straight to CWM Hospital for examination and treatment after her appearance this morning.

Their case will be called again on 9th June.
