The South African Women's rugby team is relishing the challenge of taking on the Vodafone Fijiana XV in their two Test match during the August international window.
Speaking to fijivillage Sports, team manager Thandiswa Nxomani says the squad has settled in well and completed its first training session, with the players eager for the challenge ahead.
Nxomani says Fiji will be a formidable opponent, especially after the Fijiana's recent appearance in the Super W Grand Final.
He added that South Africa is well aware of the exciting brand of rugby Fiji plays and the challenge of overcoming the hosts on home soil.
He says the tour is also an important opportunity for the Springbok Women to push themselves outside their comfort zone by adapting to different conditions and time zones, which will be valuable preparation ahead of the Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The Springboks Women will face the Vodafone Fijiana this Saturday at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva before the second Test at Churchill Park in Lautoka on 15th August.
