SG declines to comment after High Court rules Malimali’s dismissal unlawful
Solicitor General Ropate Green
Solicitor General Ropate Green says he will not be able to comment following the Suva High Court's ruling that Barbara Malimali's dismissal as FICAC Commissioner was unlawful.

Malimali had filed a judicial review of the President's decision to dismiss her on the advice of the Prime Minister.

Justice Dane Tuiqereqere has ruled that the JSC is the correct body to make recommendations to the President.

Deputy Solicitor General Eliesa Tuiloma represented the President and the Prime Minister in this matter.

Green, who was a member of the JSC when he was the Permanent Secretary for Justice, says they will not say anything until they brief Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Malimali's counsel Tanya Waqanika also says she will have to go through the ruling with her client.
