Residents of Gasele and nearby communities in Kadavu will now have access to more reliable healthcare services following the installation of a solar power system at the Gasele Nursing Station.

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services says the new solar energy system, installed by the Core Energy team and completed earlier this month, provides the nursing station with a dependable electricity supply, strengthening its ability to safely store vaccines and enabling healthcare workers to deliver services more efficiently.

They say the project marks another step in its efforts to improve access to reliable and equitable healthcare for people living in Fiji's rural and maritime communities.

The Ministry has acknowledged the contributions of Core Energy, its development partners and the people of Gasele for working together to successfully complete the project, highlighting the importance of partnerships in strengthening healthcare services across the country.
