PC: Fiji Government

The newly appointed prefects of Nakauvadra High School in Rakiraki were urged to lead with integrity, service, and accountability.

This was highlighted by the Minister for Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations, Agni Deo Singh.

Singh reminds the students that leadership is about responsibility, not authority, stressing that when one wears the badge, they represent the school, the community, and the nation.

He encourages the prefects to build trust, communicate well, and act with fairness, resilience and empathy.

Minister Singh also reaffirms the Government’s commitment to youth development through free education, financial assistance, apprenticeships and job attachment programmes.

Students were encouraged to stay focused, explore career pathways including skilled trades, and avoid harmful behaviours such as drug abuse.
