More than 1,500 food ration packs will be distributed today to affected communities in the Yasawa Group following Tropical Cyclone Vaianu.

The Ministry for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management is working closely with the Office of the Commissioner Western Division in Lautoka and NGO partners such as Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA) and Fiji Council of Social Services (FCOSS) to pack these relief food items.

Minister Mosese Bulitavu will be in Yasawa today to deliver these much-needed supplies and hear first-hand the challenges communities are facing in the aftermath of the floods.
