Former All Black and Hurricanes player Ma'a Nonu may have played his last game of rugby.
The French club RC Toulon has confirmed that Nonu will leave them after rejoining the Top 14 outfit as injury cover.
Nonu had two stints with Toulon following his retirement from Test rugby in 2015 and this season played a dozen games mostly off the bench.
"You will leave @RCTofficiel at the end of the season but you will always remain in the Red & Black Family," the club said in a statement.
Nonu was treated to a haka following his last game against European champions Bordeaux.
Nonu, 44, broke records as the oldest player in France's Top 14 competition and the oldest player to score a try in the competition.
Nonu played 103 tests for the All Blacks between 2003 and 2015 and won the World Cup in 2011 and 2015.
He played 126 games for the Hurricanes and also played in Japan, the United States and France.
He played four games for East Coast in provincial rugby in 2021.
