Lateef's alleged drug possession trial to start on 22nd July
Former Suva-based lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef will have his trial from 22nd July for alleged possession of illicit drugs.

Lateef appeared before Suva Magistrate Sufia Hamza this morning.


He is alleged to have been found with 0.584 grams of methamphetamine on December 4th last year.

Meanwhile, Lateef was sentenced to 3 years and 8 months in prison in February this year after being convicted of unlawful possession of 9.5 grams of methamphetamine and 3.5 grams of marijuana on May 9th, 2019.

He was found guilty of two counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs in Suva.
