Excitement is building at the Four R Stadium in Ba as hundreds of people have turned up as early as 10 this morning to be part of the inaugural and historic Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific game between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and ACT Brumbies.

Security has had to control the hundreds of people who came early and delay the opening of the gates because of the huge turnout.

Gates were supposed to open at 11am, but due to other issues, they had to delay it till 11.45am.

fijivillage Sports spoke to a few fans who came all the way from Tailevu and Naitasiri, who said this is the game to watch of the season.

Seveito, who is a prison officer in Ba says he woke up early this morning with his wife and children to get to the venue quickly and secure their tickets.

He says he did not expect the crowd to be this massive.

The prison officer says the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will create an upset today, and the weather favours them.

He is urging members of the public to come out in numbers and enjoy a great day of rugby.

The Drua take on the Brumbies at 3.35pm today.

In other games, the Crusaders host the Highlanders at 6.05 tonight, the Reds will meet the Waratahs while the Blues will face Moana Pasifika at 2.35pm tomorrow.
