Thirty-seven athletes will represent Holy Cross College at the 2026 Coca-Cola Games being held this week.

The school’s Coca-Cola Games Coordinator, Anamaria Raibeci, confirmed to Fijivillage Sports that this includes 20 females and 17 males, who will take part in a range of track and field events.

Raibeci says the focus is on preparation, discipline, and giving their best on the day, rather than placing pressure on outcomes.

Despite this focus, she believes the athletes have the potential to challenge some of the more established schools in their respective events.

Raibeci adds that success will ultimately depend on the athletes’ mindset and how they execute when they step onto the track.

She remains confident in the team’s ability to improve from last year’s competition.

In last year’s competition, Holy Cross won one bronze medal in the boys’ division, while the girls won two silver medals.

Meanwhile, old scholars and supporters of Holy Cross College are being encouraged to rally behind the team as they represent the school on one of the biggest sporting stages in the country.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
