The Golden Age Home in Suva came alive as staff and residents came together to celebrate Fiji Day 2026 under the theme, “An Inclusive Fiji for a Better Tomorrow.”
The celebration highlighted the importance of inclusion, unity and respect for all members of society, regardless of age, background or ability.

Residents and staff participated in various activities, including singing, dancing, storytelling, artwork and reflections on Fiji’s journey as a nation.
The event provided an opportunity for residents to express their national pride and celebrate their place in Fiji’s rich and diverse community.

It also reinforced the importance of creating an environment where older persons feel valued, respected, included and connected.
The celebration was filled with joy, laughter and patriotism, reminding everyone that building an inclusive Fiji begins with caring for one another, respecting our differences and ensuring that everyone has a sense of belonging.
