Free medical camps to serve Western Division communities

Good news for the Western Division as the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Fiji will host six free medical camps starting this Sunday, aimed at providing healthcare services to underserved communities.

This year’s programme will be supported by a team of over 100 medical professionals, allied health workers and volunteers from Fiji, Australia and New Zealand.

The Sri Sathya Sai Global Council says the camps will offer general and specialist check-ups, dental care, eye examinations, hearing tests and screenings for conditions such as diabetes and cervical cancer.

They say patients will receive prescribed medications free of charge, along with reading glasses if needed.

People are encouraged to bring their Fiji Ministry of Health National Health Card and any regular medications when attending the camps.

Chair for Zone 3 Countries, Mr. Singanayagam Indrapalan, says the initiative reflects a commitment to ensuring healthcare is accessible to all.

He adds that the camps also provide an opportunity for volunteers to serve communities and uphold the principle of “Love All, Serve All.”

These camps will be held in Sigatoka at Kavanagasau College, in Nadi at Korovuto College, in Tavua at Balata College, in Ba at A D Patel College, and in Lautoka at Drasa Secondary School.

They will run daily from 8am to 4pm.
