FMF Foods Limited is proud to serve as the Gold Sponsor of the Leadership Fiji Cohort 2025 project, an initiative aimed at improving the wellbeing of healthcare professionals at St Giles Psychiatric Hospital.

The project reflects FMF’s vision of giving back to the community and supporting efforts to build a stronger and more resilient Fiji by partnering with professionals from various industries who share the common goal of helping those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.

The Leadership Fiji 2024 team has constructed a recreational bure and dedicated wellbeing spaces, along with improved lighting, seating, and landscaping.

The upgrades are designed to provide a safe, calming, and restorative environment for the hardworking staff of St Giles Psychiatric Hospital.

The project is described as a labour of love.

The team also reached out to more than 100 companies to secure sponsorship and fundraising support to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Organisers say the initiative is more than just an infrastructure upgrade, but a meaningful investment in the mental health and wellbeing of healthcare workers who face daily pressures in their line of work.

The new space aims to provide healthcare professionals with an area for rest and reflection, highlighting the importance of supporting those who care for some of Fiji’s most vulnerable people.

The project is guided by the belief that stronger people help build stronger communities and a stronger Fiji.
