Exciting times lie ahead for the Fiji Rugby Union as the countdown to the Nations Championship begins, with Fiji set to host major international rugby matches in Cardiff City in Wales in Cardiff, with a seating capacity of 62,000 people on July 4th.

Fiji Rugby Union Chairman John Sanday confirmed that the second match will be played in England on July 11th against the host nation at Hill Dickinson Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 52,000.

The third game is scheduled for July 18th at Murrayfield Stadium against Scotland, with the venue able to accommodate 67,000 spectators.

Sanday says the organizational learning and the capabilities gathered from this will help Fiji in terms of commercial succcess which will send out a message to Sanzaar that Fiji needs to be part of it.

He is urging the people of Fiji to stand united with the FRU during this important period as they prepare to deliver a world-class event on the global stage.

Sanday, a former Flying Fijian, explained that proceeds from ticket sales for all home games will go directly to the FRU.

He says the union will cover all related expenses, with any net profit retained by the FRU.

He adds that away matches will provide similar revenue opportunities for the respective host teams.

The income generated from our matches will help boost local pathways as well, including the Skipper Cup Competition.

He urged the people of Fiji to stand behind and support the FRU as the nation prepares to showcase its ability to host world-class rugby on the global stage.

The former Flying Fijian also explained that revenue from ticket sales for all home games will go directly to the FRU. While the union will cover all associated expenses, any net profit from these matches will remain with the FRU.

He added that away games will provide similar profit-making opportunities for the host nations.
