England will be without centre-back Jarell Quansah for Sunday's quarter-final clash with Norway after he received a two-match suspension following his red card in the Round of 16 victory over Mexico.
Quansah was sent off in the 54th minute of England's 3-2 win after a VAR review upgraded his challenge on Mexico defender Jesús Gallardo to a red card for a high tackle.
England played the final 36 minutes with 10 men but held on to record a historic victory.
Quansah will miss the quarter-final against Norway and, should England progress, the semi-final as well.
The suspension leaves England short of defensive options on the right side.
They are also sweating on the fitness of Reece James, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the goalless draw with Ghana.
James trained separately from the main group on Wednesday as he continued to follow an individual programme.
England hopes James will be fit to face Norway. Otherwise, Thomas Tuchel will have more selection headaches.
England takes on Norway at 9am Sunday.
In the other quarter-finals, Spain will face Belgium at 7am tomorrow, while Argentina meets Switzerland at 1pm Sunday.
Meanwhile, France is the first team through to the semi finals after beating Morocco 2-0.
