Drua prepare for tough breakdown battle against Highlanders

Drua prepare for tough breakdown battle against Highlanders

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have their work cut out for them at the breakdown when they take on the Highlanders in Ba tomorrow in round 12 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

Head coach Glen Jackson says the Highlanders have Timoci Tavatavanawai in the midfield, who has the most turnovers in the competition, and Veveni Lasaqa who is just as good.

Jackson says the Highlanders have probably kicked the ball more than any other team in the competition, so the Drua's backfield will also need to be on par.

He says that was one thing the Drua did really well against the Brumbies in Ba, adding that it is a great stadium with plenty of opportunities to counterattack and run with the ball.

The Fijian Drua will take on the Highlanders 4pm tomorrow at Four R Stadium in Ba.

In other matches, the Hurricanes will meet the Crusaders at 7.05 tonight, the Waratahs will face the Force at 9.35pm, Moana Pasifika will face the Blues at 7.05pm tommorow, while the Reds play the Brumbies at 9.35pm.
