Call for more hindi language stressed at National Manak Conference

The role of the Hindi language in its continued growth and social media pressure has been highlighted at the National Manak Hindi Conference at the University of Fiji.

Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Suneet Mehta, stresses that manak or pure Hindi serves as a medium for education, writing, literature, publication, and international discourse.

He stresses that the use of mobile phones, the internet, and social media is placing pressure on the Hindi language, emphasizing the need to adopt new methods.

Mehta says it is necessary to post on social media, write blogs, and create digital stories adding Hindi is not just a language, it is part of cultural identity, our thoughts, and our emotions.

Mehta emphasises that Hindi is not only a language, but has become an integral part of our identity, culture, and history.
