Woman allegedly found with meth in Sigatoka charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs

A 22‑year‑old woman allegedly found with methamphetamine and pink tablets in Sigatoka Town on Monday has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.

She will be produced in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.

A Police officer saw the woman sitting inside a car near a supermarket in town and acting in a suspicious manner.

She was escorted to the Sigatoka Police Station where a search was conducted which led to the discovery of sachets containing white substances and crystals believed to be methamphetamine.

Police also found a bag containing pink tablets, smoking apparatus and a syringe.
