Man charged after allegedly attacking wife with cane knife in Waiqanake

The man who allegedly struck his wife with a cane knife while he was drunk in Waiqanake Village, Rewa has been charged and will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Police say the man is charged with one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm.

The woman remains admitted in CWM Hospital.

An eyewitness says the woman was pregnant at the time of the incident.
