Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has told members of the Fijiana 7s Team that the will to win is important, but the will to prepare is what really separates the good from the great.

Speaking to the team which is preparing for the Olympics Games, Bainimarama says we all know that nothing motivates young people more than watching their heroes compete on the world’s greatest stage.

He says Fijian fans may not be out in full force in Tokyo due to the COVID restrictions, but we will be with them.

He says we have gone more than 320 days without a local case of the virus, and we owe that achievement to the vigilance and sacrifice of our healthcare heroes.

Bainimarama says our ability to safely resume contact sports has not only aided Olympic preparations, it has restored a semblance of normalcy for our people in a year that has been anything but ordinary.
